MANUAL VS. AUTOMATED BOOKKEEPING SYSTEMS....THE COST OF NOT CONVERTING

It can be a scary project to move from a manual to an automated bookkeeping system.  But with the numerous software choices available today, the task doesn't have to be daunting and can provide numerous benefits and savings.

HOW MUCH BUSINESS ARE YOU LOSING.....THE E-COMMERCE FACTOR

The Census Bureau of Commerce in the US  reported e-commerce sales outpaced retail sales growth in 2005.  Total e-commerce retail sales for the third quarter of 2005 were estimated at $22.3 billion, The third quarter 2005 e-commerce estimate increased 26.7 percent from the third quarter of 2004 whereas total retail sales increased only 8.5 percent in the same period.

So you've  realized the potential of the e-commerce market, and have decided that you want a share of that 22.3 billion just from the US.  You've invested a great deal of time and money on a state-of-the-art e-commerce site, and have achieved your high rankings on the search engines. Then why aren't the customers shopping madly and making you the next dot.com millionaire?

It isn't enough to just have a site - if you want visitors to your e-commerce web site to shop online and actually buy something from you, you have to entice them. Just as you would in a "traditional" store.

According to Resource E-Commerce Watch, potential online shoppers want the same things that bricks-and-mortar shoppers want, such as a convenient shopping experience, having their questions or concerns addressed, in-stock merchandise, and a timely and accurate order confirmation process. Online retailers who execute these retail basics well will win loyal customers.
